Fic: Hands

She never really noticed how callused her hands had become.

Years of working at needlework, repeatedly pricking her hands as she learned new stitches, had left with hands as slim and pale as any lady’s, but marked with patches of worn and tough skin.

It must have always been like this; the calluses do not appear overnight. Yet in the cold winter light of the Eyrie, they seemed to stand out more, until they were all she noticed.

She didn’t terribly mind. The bruises and the cuts just had received in King’s Landing had faded, till all of the pain and the marks were locked up inside. And yet, her hands—so deceptively dainty, the skin tough—seemed to carry all the signs of her defiance.

It’s not really an illustration… just inspired by this

I’m reading A Storm of Swords, wishing someone made a spin-off soap opera based on Sansa’s story. Mexican heroines’ got nothing on her.

I started doing this “time zone meme“ with the six stark kids! for ‘present’ i chose Rickon the wild and his Shaggy Dog. Those guys are pretty crazy.

those huge sunglasses are not only fashionable, but perfect for hiding tears and domestic violence evidence, it’s a useful fit for Sansa & Lady!

Arya & Nymeria the warrior queens of the free people! I wonder if we’ll ever hear of Nymeria again…

and finally, Jon Snow and Ghost are the watchers on the digital wall! whew, that was fun.

I’m totally late for the party but this is a quick gift to celebrate the birthday of Paul, who seems to be not only an amazing artist but also a sandor/sansa enthusiast very much like myself!

Hey paul, sorry I’m late, I hope you had a brilliant birthday, and thanks for all the wonderful art you keep sharing!

(I wanted to draw paul with the super-cool lannister shirt but ended dressing up the guys with nowaday’s clothes, is it weird? hahaha god. Sansa’s stark wolves pattern comes from the bg of this jon snow appreciation blog.)
